in occasione del centenario dalla nascita del celebre compositore
ungherese György Ligeti,
uscirà The "Hamburgisches
Konzert" by György Ligeti,
il
più esauriente e completo lavoro su
quest’opera, scritto
dal compositore Alessio Elia e
pubblicato dall’editore tedesco Edition Impronta.
Tra i massimi studiosi della musica ligetiana, Elia ci conduce all’interno di quest’ultimo lavoro integrando tra loro differenti approcci analitici, dall’analisi strutturale a quella spettrale, dall’analisi uditiva allo studio minuzioso del manoscritto e degli appunti conservati alla Sacher Foundation di Basilea tra cui Elia ha rinvenuto due movimenti inediti del Concerto, non inseriti nella partitura finale, e pubblicati per la prima volta nel libro assieme a tutti gli schizzi preparatori.
Un corposo capitolo è dedicato ai numerosissimi errori (oltre 300) presenti nella partitura a stampa, incluse le parti staccate, e nel manoscritto, che hanno irrimediabilmente compromesso tutte le esecuzioni e le registrazioni del Concerto fino ad oggi.
La revisione completa della partitura realizzata da Alessio Elia, presente all’interno del libro assieme alla presentazione di possibili soluzioni ai punti problematici del manoscritto, risolti attraverso la comprensione della logica compositiva che lo sottende, convergeranno nella prima esecuzione revisionata del Concerto d’Amburgo che avverrà presso il Budapest Music Center nella stessa data del 28 maggio 2023, con il Concerto Budapest Ligeti Ensemble diretto dal celebre direttore d’orchestra e compositore Peter Eötvös.

On May 28, 2023, on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of the famous Hungarian composer György Ligeti, The "Hamburgisches Konzert" by György Ligeti will be released, the most exhaustive and complete analysis on this work, written by the composer Alessio Elia and published by the German publisher Edition Impronta.
Among the leading scholars of Ligetian music, Elia takes us inside this last work by integrating different analytical approaches, from structural to spectral analysis, from aural analysis to the meticulous study of the manuscript and the notes kept at the Sacher Foundation in Basel among which Elia found two unpublished movements of the Concerto, not included in the final score, and published for the first time in the book together with all the preparatory sketches.
A substantial chapter is dedicated to the numerous errors (over 300) present in the printed score, including the instrumental parts, and in the manuscript, which have irreparably compromised all the performances and recordings of the Concert to date.
The complete revision of the score done by Alessio Elia, present in the book together with the presentation of possible solutions to the problematic points of the manuscript, resolved through the understanding of the compositional logic that underlies it, will converge in the first revised performance of the Hamburg Concerto which will take place at the Budapest Music Center on the same date on May 28, 2023, with the Concerto Budapest Ligeti Ensemble conducted by the renowned conductor and composer Peter Eötvös.
